Welcome to the Turtle Observatory
 Andriana & Elena Villas are located directly on Dafni beach, in the south of the heavenly island of Zakynthos.
The beach is well known on the island for its beauty, soft sand and also as it is a favourite nesting ground for the rare loggerhead turtles.
There is no other accommodation on Dafni beach, or any accommodation located directly on any other beaches where the turtles nest on the island – so staying here really is a unique and special experience to observe the turtles at close range and enjoy the feeling as if the beach were exclusive to you.
Dafni beach is open to the public until sunset, but because of being a special habitat to the turtles the public cannot drive to the beach. |

| Instead tourists can park their cars at the National Marine Park and take a short walk to the beach. This is to keep disruption to the turtles at a minimum and as no visitors (except our guests) are allowed on the beach at night it means that the Villas are very quiet and ensure peaceful nights sleep. |

This is the ideal accommodation for families with children, couples and those who appreciate nature and want to see the turtles at close range and in the most comfortable and accessible way.
Across the beach, 300 m away is an uninhabited island called Pelouzo, where there is an old ruined monastery .

ACCOMMODATION
Andriana & Elena are two identical maisonettes, each providing accommodation for up to 6 people.
On the ground floor of each maisonette there are two bedrooms: one has a double bed and the other has two single beds (with space for a third bed if required). Also on the ground floor is a spacious bathroom, with WC and a Jacuzzi bathtub as well as a hairdryer included.
The first floor is open plan with a living room, dining area (with table and chairs) and a fully equipped kitchen with kettle, oven, electric rings, coffee machine and all necessary utensils.

STUDIO
Also there is one open plan studio available measuring 37sqm and ideal for a couple. The studio is located next to the maisonettes and has wonderful sea views.
The studio consists of a double bed, sofa bed, fully equipped kitchenette with all utensils and cooking facilities, bathroom with shower cabin, air-conditioning, TV, 24hr hot water and furnished veranda. |

LOCATION
Andriana & Elena Villas are located directly on Dafni beach in the south of Zakynthos, in the Vassilikos area.
Dafni beach is a lovely sandy beach and a nesting ground to the loggerhead turtles; the nests on the beach are caged so that the eggs do not get damaged in the hope this will help prevent the numbers of the turtles from declining further. The turtles lay their eggs from 10-15 May until the middle of July and the young start to appear from the middle of July until mid September. Across the beach there is the pretty uninhabited island, called Pelouzo and the sunsets from Dafni are magnificent.

| There are also several other gorgeous beaches in the area to explore. Vassilikos is one of the most beautiful parts of the island, remaining unspoilt and uncommercialised and is a haven for nature lovers. Car hire is recommended to fully explore and appreciate the area visible from the scenic routes and we are happy to help assist you with car rental arrangements. |

TAVERNA
Near to Andriana & Elena Villas is a taverna, located right on the beach and owned by the same friendly family who run the Villas. The taverna has been built with respect to the environment and in a way to minimise disruption to the precious Caretta Caretta turtles. |

| The taverna has a great reputation and is well known throughout the island for its fresh fish, traditional Zakynthian, international and Greek Cuisine. This is a fantastic place to dine in serenity, with the sound of the waves gently lapping on the shore, the panoramic views and not forgetting the delicious food in short this is the perfecting dining experience! |

* The peak nesting season for the loggerhead turtles is from 10-15 May until the middle of July and the young start to appear from the middle of July until mid September and this is the best time to visit the villa. You will have an exclusive chance to view these beautiful creatures and watch them return to the shores to lay their eggs, an amazing sight for any nature lover.
