Welcome to the Turtle Observatory
Dafni Resort (a.k.a. Andriana and Elena Villas)is located directly on Dafni beach, on the south east coast of the heavenly island of Zakynthos, in the core of the National "Marine Park".
This beach is well known as it is a protected habitat and reproduction area for the endangered Caretta Caretta turtle.
Our guests will have the chance to enjoy the amazing view of Dafni gulf and the small island of "Pelouzo" with the remains of an old monastery located just 300m from the beach. Our complex is maybe the only accommodation - observation point on the island that is located on the beach where the turtle lays its eggs, thus giving you the opportunity to watch them at all times.

The view of the gulf of Laganas and the magical sunset you can admire in the area gives you the feeling of being in a paradise on earth.
Dafni beach is open to the public from sunrise to sunset. All Dafni Resort guests are allowed to park their car right next to the accommodation.

ACCOMMODATION
The Dafni Resort complex consists of Villa Pelouzo, Andriana and Elena maisonettes, Villa Christina and the Beach Studio.
Pelouzo Villa
The Pelouzo Villa is located on the beach and can accommodate up to 5 people.
It is a luxurious apartment that consists of two bedrooms, one with a double bed, big wardrobe, air-co and heating and one with two single beds, possibility of putting an extra bed, wardrobes, air-co and heating. There are two beautiful bathrooms with toilet, hairdryer and washing machine. One bathroom is located in the bedroom. There is also an open plan living/kitchen area, comfortable kitchen with full cooker (oven/grill/electric rings), kettle, coffee machine, big fridge with separate freezer, dining table with chairs, big settee, air-co, heating and big television.
The pretty garden is beautifuly furnished and you can enjoy the magnificent view of the sea and Pelouzo Island exactly acroos from the villa while listening to the sound of the waves.

Andriana and Elena Maisonettes
Andriana & Elena are two identical maisonettes, each providing accommodation for up to 6 people. They are suitable for a family or two couples.
Each one has the following layout:
On the ground floor there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds (with space for a third bed if required). There is also a spacious bathroom with WC and a Jacuzzi bathtub as well as a hairdryer.
The first floor is open plan with a united living room, dining room (with table and chairs) and kitchen area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a kettle, coffeemaker, toaster, oven, electric rings and all necessary utensils. From the spacious and comfortably furnished balcony, you can lose yourself while gazing at the golden beach and the endless blue sea.
All rooms are air conditioned.

Villa Christina
The family apartment Villa Christina is located next to Andriana and Elena maisonettes and is suitable for up to 5 people.
It consists of two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds, a spacious living room with fireplace, fully equipped kitchen with dining room, fridge, oven and electric rings. There is also air conditioning throughout the apartment, T.V. and a private furnished veranda with sea and garden views.

Beach Studio
This open plan studio measuring 37sqm can accommodate 3 people. It is located next to the maisonettes, just 15 meters from the beach and it is ideal for a couple.
The studio consists of a double bed, sofa bed, fully equipped kitchenette with all utensils and cooking facilities, bathroom with shower cabin, air-conditioning, TV, 24hr hot water and furnished veranda.

TAVERNA
Next to Dafni Resort is a taverna, located right on the beach and owned by the same friendly family who run the Villas. The taverna has been built with respect to the environment and in a way to minimise disruption to the precious Caretta Caretta turtles.
It has a great reputation and is well known throughout the island for its fresh fish, traditional Zakynthian, international and Greek Cuisine. It is open until late in the evening. This is a fantastic place to dine in serenity, with the sound of the waves gently lapping on the shore, the panoramic views and not forgetting the delicious food in short this is the perfecting dining experience! |

LOCATION
Dafni Resort is located directly on Dafni beach in the south of Zakynthos, in the Vassilikos area. Vasilikos is known for its green environment and the many sandy beaches like Gerakas, Porto Roma, Saint Nicolaos, Ionio, etc.
Because Dafni beach is part of the "National Marine Park" there are parts of the beach protected because of the turtle nest located there. The endangered sea turtle Caretta Caretta lays its eggs from 10-15 May until mid July and the baby turtles hatch from mid July until mid September.
The surrounding area is ideal for bicycle riding, walking, running, swimming, etc. |

| * The peak nesting season for the loggerhead turtles is from 10-15 May until the middle of July and the young start to appear from the middle of July until mid September and this is the best time to visit the resort.
