ACCOMMODATION

This superb villa has been constructed using natural stone and wood, is decorated superbly throughout in earthy tones and has comfortable furnishings, an excellent example of local Zakynthian architecture.

The villa can accommodate 8-12 persons and consists of five bedrooms with double or single beds, four bathrooms, spacious living area with open fireplace, music, TV and DVD player; dining room for 8-12 persons; fully equipped kitchen with all utensils, electrical appliances, dishwasher, electric cooker, washing machine and fridge; furnished verandas and children's play area.

LOCATION

Located on the North coast of Zakynthos is the region of Skinari which consists of many villages.
The luxurious Villa Sofia is located Askos close to the port of Agios Nikolaos which has a daily ferry service to the neighbouring island of Kefalonia. Agios Nikolaos is well known for its fresh fish. You can find seaside restaurants serving delicious fresh fish of your choice or if you wish, you can find many places where you can do your own fishing.

There are numerous places to visit in the area which is a haven for those who enjoy walking, and other outdoor pursuits, with a chance to see many of Zante's pretty colourful flowers and wildlife; secluded sandy beaches; this could not be a better spot for any nature lover to stay.

Makris Gialos famous beach is 5km from the villa and Xigia beach the location of the natural sulphur spa waters renowned for its healing qualities is 6km away. The Askos Stone Park is a wildlife park with hundreds of animals living free in their natural habitats including wild hawks of many species, many representative mammals of the island, and many species of birds, amphibians, insects and other native animals.

The Peligoni Sailing club is located 2km away and offers watersports, tennis, sailing, scuba diving and has an excellent restaurant and coffee shop. You can also visit the famous shipwreck (Navagio) and Blue Caves by boat from the many companies offering excursions from the harbour at Agios Nikolaos. The traditional market town of Volimes is worth a visit and is famous for its local produce such as handmade rugs and lace, cheese, honey and wine.
