Super Guide Book & Maps - Zakynthos

We've been looking for a decent guide book and a half decent map for years. Thanks to a chance meeting with a couple of walkers this summer we've at long last got one and it's brilliant!

The "Sunflower Complete Guide with Walks" provides just about anything you'd want to know about the island. There's info about -
Geography,climate, economy,ecology, wildlife and plant life, getting around, history, to name just some of the topics. There are also four very detailed car tours and 22 walks with lots of information regarding what may be seen en-route. There is also an excellent map showing the routes as well as many small tracks.

The second edition was published in 2009 so it's well up tp date and there's a web site that provides further updates as they become available.
The RRP is £14.99 but we got ours from Amazon for £8.81 and free postage (it arrived in 2 days)

Thanks for the information about the Sunflower Complete Guide With Walks book Dave. I sent of for one and it was delivered today. It stands head and shoulders above any other book I have about Zante. I bought it for the walking guides but it also has four car touring guides of the island for those who hire a car. Very highly recommended,a mass of information. janner.

We've bought one too, it's a fascinating book and the walks look interesting. Might try some out in September. On the other hand might just crash by the pool and read about them instead.
