Held my nerve - I'm going!
I held my nerve and waited and waited and waited but couldn't wait any more so I've booked about 10 mins ago!!!! so excited. Managed to get 10 days at the Akis from Manchester for 370 not bad considering it was almost 600 when I first started looking a few weeks ago! Even yesterday it was 491 so I'm pleased. Any info about the Akis would be welcome - do I need travel kettle etc. Now to book airport parking...............

Hi Rach,
the akis is lovely, we stayed out there at the beginning of june for 2 weeks, strangely enough we were booked to stay at the panos but when we got there the rep informed us that the panos was still closed and we were put in the akis instead. We enjoyed our stay immensely so much so that we have booked another week there early in september and we just cant wait.
the room we stayed in was typical greek self catering - basic but very clean and it had the usual "wet" room comprising shower, wc and hand basin, and the kitchen facilities included a kettle, fridge with an icebox, plates, dishes, cutlery and a 2 ring cooker and a selection of pots and pans. ( but no toaster !! ) aircon was available and charged seperately at approx 6 euros per night.
not sure what else you want to know but if i can help you further just ask, also if you wanted to pm me with your email address i would be happy to send you some pictures taken around the akis if you would like them.
hope this helps

Thanks Tony for the offer of photos but I know where it is and have popped by last time I was there to have a look. Good to know I won't need my kettle always find that awkward to pack. Also a plus point on the air con. This will be my 12th visit to Alykes and can't wait to catch up with everyone, now for all the pre holiday jobs - do I really need to leave with an empty ironing basket and a super clean house????!
